Dakota Dresser
Custom Nursery Dresser & Changing Cabinet
A child’s first piece of furniture should feel like it belongs in the rest of the home.
The Dakota Dresser was designed to bridge that gap: practical enough for the daily rhythm of diapers, blankets, and late-night changes, but refined enough to live comfortably in a well-designed room long after the nursery years are over.
Built from solid red oak with walnut accents, the dresser combines four deep drawers with a dedicated cabinet for bulk storage. The proportions are low and grounded, with gently tapered legs and hand-shaped pulls that echo classic mid-century forms.
The top was originally sized to accommodate a changing pad, but the piece was always intended for a longer life. Once the nursery phase passes, it transitions naturally into a child’s bedroom, guest room, or even a hallway storage piece.
This is furniture meant to grow with a family rather than be replaced by it.
