About

Barley Barn Design is a small, independent furniture studio focused on custom hardwood pieces designed for specific spaces and clients.

My name is Jared Fuller, and I build each piece by hand in my shop in Utah. What began as an interest in woodworking grew into a dedicated pursuit of craft, design, and materials that last.

A Focus on Purposeful Furniture

Every project begins with the same question:
What should this piece do for the room it lives in?

Rather than producing generic furniture, each design is developed for a particular space, function, and client. Proportion, material choice, and joinery are all considered carefully so the finished piece feels natural in its environment.

The goal is not just to build something useful, but something that quietly elevates the room around it.

Built with Intention

Work in the shop is slow and deliberate. Solid hardwoods are selected for their strength, stability, and character. Joinery is chosen for longevity, not convenience.

The result is furniture meant to be lived with—pieces that age gracefully, gather stories, and remain part of a home for generations.

The Process

Each custom piece begins with a conversation. We discuss the space, the purpose of the piece, and the overall feel you want the room to have. From there, the design is refined, materials are selected, and construction begins in the shop.

Nothing is built until the design feels right.
