Walnut River Table

A bold contrast of natural warmth and luminous color, this walnut river table pairs rich, figured hardwood with a flowing band of blue epoxy. The live edges frame the resin like a shoreline, creating the impression of a slow, glassy current running through the center of the piece.

Originally built as a custom tabletop, the slab was set on minimalist metal legs to keep the focus on the grain and the river itself. The clean, modern stance allowed the top to read almost like a landscape painting, suspended in mid-air. Later, the base was upgraded to a trestle design for a more grounded, architectural presence.

Finished smooth and durable for daily use, this table balances statement-piece aesthetics with practical function. It is designed to catch the eye first, then quietly serve for decades.
